I am married and a mom to children both 2- and 4-legged (one of each). I love to read and to cook. I am vegan and gluten-free, so pretty much everything I make falls into those categories. I also enjoy movies,TV, and crafts–knitting is my craft of choice at the moment.

Unfortunately, I am without a full-time job at the moment, which I am hoping to change soon. My background is in literature and writing, and I am teaching one online class at the moment. I am also working on a young adult novel and hoping to pick up some freelance work. In the meantime, it gives me more time to blog!

This year, I decided to try to live better. The easiest place to start with that is with food, so that is what I will tackle. I have no special training in this area, but I have read a lot. My hope is a that by writing about my journey, it might help someone else. And, hey, maybe I will be discovered!

So food will be a large portion of what I will write about. I have an Etsy store that I am working on, which I provided a link to over on the right–check it out! I also love books, movies, and TV, so I will often write about those things as well. With any luck, there will be a little something for everyone.

Thank you for reading!

Hello! I just found your blog and I haven’t read much yet, but I like what you say about yourself here! I’m not vegan, but I eat mostly a plant-based diet with a bit of fish. I recently gave up all other meat, and I have a very low tolerance for dairy.

I think it’s lovely that you support animals, that you like writing and literature, and that you are trying to live a healthy life. I do all the same things. šŸ™‚

I also think that people who do crafts are just the luckiest people ever, and I wish I could do something like that. Alas, no time. šŸ˜¦

I found your blog because I have been nominated for the Shine On Award and I need to nominate some other blogs. I don’t know if you’re interest in blog awards, but in case you are, I shall include your blog in my list of nominees. It’s up to you if you accept or not. Either way, good luck with your hopes and dreams! šŸ™‚

(I shall come back when I have a link to my post about the Award nomination in case you would like to accept it.)
