DIY Lunchables

November 2, 2011

Made it through Halloween more or less intact! The Hermione Granger costume was a big hit with my daughter and the people who saw her, so all ended well! Made chocolate chip cookies and vanilla cupcakes–unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures!

This week’s lunch is Lunch Nibbles–homemade Lunchables, basically, which are tiny deli slices with crackers. For yesterday, I got creative and used a cookie cutter to make her soy turkey into pumpkin and leaf shapes. Sadly, today was less creative and we have pie-shaped wedges. This is accompanied by carrot sticks, fruit, and a chocolate chip cookie. The first choice was veggie burgers and sweet potato fries, but there is no way I have time to make that in the morning, and I couldn’t imagine eating it cold. Some other week, perhaps!
